Foreword
TCVN 5571:2012 replaces TCVN 5571:1991.
TCVN 5571:2012 was converted from TCVN 5571:1991 in accordance with Clause 1, Article 69 of the Law on Standards and Technical Regulations and Point b), Clause 1, Article 6 of the Government’s Decree No. 127/2007/ND-CP dated August 1, 2007, detailing the implementation of certain articles of the Law on Standards and Technical Regulations.
TCVN 5571:2012 was compiled by the Institute of Architecture, Urban and Rural Planning – Ministry of Construction, proposed by the Ministry of Construction, appraised by the Directorate for Standards, Metrology and Quality, and promulgated by the Ministry of Science and Technology.
1. Scope of Application
This standard stipulates the content and presentation of the title block for design documentation and applies to all types of drawings in the design stages.
NOTE: The title block of drawings in standard design documentation, template designs, and export designs is not subject to this standard.
2. Referenced Documents
The following referenced documents are essential for the application of this standard. For dated references, the edition cited applies. For undated references, the latest edition of the referenced document (including any amendments) applies.
TCVN 4608:2012[1], System of construction design documents. Letters and numbers on construction drawings.
3. General Requirements
3.1. The title block on any drawing must clearly, fully, and accurately reflect the content of that drawing.
3.2. The dimensions of the title block are not dependent on the size of the drawing but must conform to the template specified in Article 3 of this standard.
3.3. The title block must be placed at the lower right quadrant of the drawing as shown in Figure 1.
NOTE: In special cases, due to layout requirements between drawings, it is permissible to place the title block vertically on the drawing as shown in Figure 1b, and the orientation of the numbers written in the title block should follow the length of the title block.
